Chemical
As the performance leader in the development of plastic valves and controls, Plast-O-Matic provides a complete line of standard and custom designed solutions for difficult applications. The corrosive liquid markets use Plast-O-Matic products for the control of sodium hypochlorite, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, solvents, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, ethylene glycol, seawater, detergents, surfactants, brine, oil, fluoride, ferric chloride, sodium bi-sulfate, ferric sulfate, and calcium chloride.
-
Ultra-Pure
Plast-O-Matic has over 50 years experience in the control of ultra-pure liquids. The high purity and ultra-pure liquid markets use Plast-O-Matic products for the control of deionized water, reverse osmosis water, ultra-pure chemicals, sanitary process liquids, and sodium bicarbonate. Plast-O-Matic’s proprietary two-part preliminary cleaning procedure is key to our high purity products. First, surfaces are treated to be amenable to the scavenging of metallic residues, mold release agents and ancillary contaminants. SEMI F-57 compatible agents are used to scour the activated surface.

-
Actuated & Manual Ball Valves feature trunnion safety design and dual sliding seats for ultra-smooth operation and repeatable bubble-tight shutoff with an incredibly long cycle life. Available 2-way and 3-way, in 3/8″– 4″ sizes. Learn More
-
POM check valves prevent reverse flow of liquids. Designed with no wetted metals, they are ideal for use with water, extremely corrosive liquids, and ultra-pure liquids. Most importantly, POM check valves do not use ball designs common with competitive checks. This eliminates the leaking, rattling, distortion, and other problems ball checks are prone to. Learn More

-
Accurately reduce and regulate steady or varying inlet pressures and maintain a constant, predetermined maximum outlet set pressure. Offered in spring controlled, air controlled, differential controlled and ultra-pure designs, Plast-O-Matic regulators are consistently recognized as the industry’s top performers for maximum flow with minimal drop-off from set pressure. ½” through 3”; for 4” consult factory. Learn More
-
Supply side or return side assemblies simplify piping and provide superior strength. Fully customizable Series PCWS and Series PCWR with choice of valves, flow, and pressure controls; pressure and temperature gauges, flowmeters, and virtually any conceivable combination of connection sizes and types. Series ECWS and ECWR are express built standard assemblies. Learn More
-
Prevent system overpressure, regulate backpressure, provide automatic bypass, and eliminate siphon with high performance relief valves. 2-way and 3-way designs, straight and angle pattern, choice of elastomer or PTFE diaphragm design. ¼” – 3″ sizes. Learn More
-
Variety of air operated, line pressure assisted, and manually operated shut-off valves in both diaphragm and globe styles. Available in compact and heavy duty designs. Options including fail-safe spring return, limit stops, visual indicator windows, and the patented Fail-Dry® early warning vent available; consult factory. Air operated pinch valves are also available, providing bubble-tight shut-off for slurry applications. Learn More

Air Release Valves provide high capacity venting of gas at system start up, while Degassing Valves vent trace amounts of gas as it occurs during system operation. Combination Valves perform both air release and degassing functions, in applications where a single location is functional.
Vacuum Breakers open automatically in response to minimal vacuum to prevent unwanted siphonage or collapse of storage tanks. Plast-O-Matic degassing vent & vacuum breaker valves automatically seal bubble tight when not in use; air release & degassing valves automatically reseal when liquid fills the valve. Learn More

Calibration Columns verify pump flow rates for precise chemical dosing.
Constant Flow Valves provide pre-set constant downstream flow rate.
Air Operated Filling/Metering Pumps for precise filling, dosing, dispensing of ultrapure liquids and corrosive chemicals.
Process Cooling Sticks supply or return side assemblies simplify piping and provide superior strength.
Pulsation Dampeners/Surge Suppressors water hammer arrest and pump pulsation dampeners improve performance and safeguard against system damage. Learn More
History of Plast-O-Matic
Bruce DeLorenzo and Dan McCarthy formed Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc. on September 7, 1967. Dan had a flair for sales and marketing to match Bruce’s engineering prowess; the two men fit well and began to look for opportunities in corrosion resistant process controls. The first valves were machined and shipped from Bruce’s garage.
In April 1969 the company began full-time operations and moved into a small industrial building in Clifton, NJ.
After continuous growth through the 1970s, Dan was anxious to move on to new challenges, while Bruce was looking to take Plast-O-Matic to new heights. After reaching an amicable agreement, Bruce DeLorenzo took sole control of the company in 1981.
Era of Rapid Growth
Innovation, advances and new products brought expansion and opened new markets throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 1988 the machine shop expanded, and in 1994 the company moved to its current spacious headquarters in Cedar Grove, NJ. This move to a modern corporate campus had a terrific effect on “team spirit,” with employees taking even greater pride in the company. It also enabled Plast-O-Matic to bring injection molding operations in-house.
New Millennium and Renewed Energy
1999 we lost our founder far too soon, but Bruce’s blueprint for success carried the company through an era of continuous growth. In 2010 Chairman Judy DeLorenzo hosted a gala grand opening celebration at our new branch warehouse in Riverside, California. Judy’s ownership and management continues today, with second generation President Tim DeLorenzo at the helm.
Under Tim’s guidance, Plast-O-Matic added solar power, and committed to lean manufacturing as well as other best practices. In 2016 the company achieved ISO 9001:2105 registration, and expanded its international sales efforts. Automation was introduced to the machine shop in 2019.
The family garage is now a distant memory, but 50+ years later, the Plast-O-Matic spirit remains unchanged: Better products, superior service, more satisfied customers.
Alexander Industrial Sales, Inc. is proud to represent Plastomatic in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Western Pennsylvania.
